Councilor Ayvlys Phelsalym has been fighting a battle both legislative and theological in nature for nearly the span of her entire young career, gathering enough support to pass a vote in the council chambers just yesterday evening, 6 favorable, 4 opposed, and 2 abstain. Phelsalym stated that, "to deny the founders of the City of Divinity that which is held so near to their hearts and culture, is a crime that would not be suffered by any other denizen of this state. Were it anyone else in this city, I can say without a doubt that they would want a respectable send-off for their loved ones."
Solum natives, or Terasen, in their spoken language, are obviously overjoyed with this victory. Terasen of the 3rd and 4th districts, the districts that see the highest population of Solum natives, have been seen gathering to send off their deceased in the largest procession Divinity has ever hosted. The pilgrimage is set to commence in the next few days, with Gramercy Kinetics overseeing the security detail.
